AMD continues to reaffirm its commitment to the global mining sector. This year, from September 24th to 26th, we participated as exhibitors at MINExpo 2024, one of the most important global events for the mining industry, held every four years in Las Vegas, Nevada.
MINExpo, organized by the National Mining Association of the United States, is the meeting point for professionals, experts, and industry leaders from around the world who are seeking advanced solutions to the challenges of modern mining. This year, the event gathered thousands of attendees, with an exhibition hall showcasing the latest in mining safety, drilling, engineering, material handling, training, and human resources, among other relevant topics for the sector.
Our participation
During our participation in MINExpo 2024, AMD had the privilege of presenting some of our most outstanding products in ventilation control. We featured an interactive booth where we exhibited scaled models of two of our most innovative solutions: the Roll-Up Door and the Opposing Wing Door Systems. These models caught the attention of many visitors interested in improving the efficiency, safety, and economy of their mining operations through robust and reliable ventilation control door systems..
Roll-Up door
The Roll-Up Door is a highly efficient system designed for both track and trackless mines. These strong, durable, and curved slatted metal coiling doors are available in various gauges of steel and mounting configurations to accommodate almost any size openings. The AMD Roll-up doors are designed for easy operation and are trouble free with minimal maintenance required. The rigid and compact design provides for a more structural grade product while reducing overhead space and obstruction.
Its robust yet simple and practical design allows for smooth operation in demanding environments, making it an ideal choice for various mining applications worldwide.
Opposing wing door
On the other hand, the Opposing Wing Door was another of our star products on display. This opposing-wing door system is designed to handle large volumes of air, allowing for efficient ventilation regulation in large-scale mines. With one wing working against the air flow and the other with it, the doors move smoothly and efficiently.
A top-mounted connecting bar ensures seamless operation, and just one actuation cylinder is required—even for large-scale mine doors. This innovative design reduces the need for manual effort while maintaining optimal ventilation control. It is a solution that has been adopted by numerous mines worldwide, demonstrating its versatility and reliability in various operational contexts.
